How do I download music on my PSP

How does someone like me to download music to my psp device from your PC? All you need is a USB cable to connect your PSP device to a PC. Yes, it's so easy and here are the main steps, I wanted to share with everyone, how can I download music to my PSP device.

A. PSP device to PC connectivity

Firstly, use the USB cable to connect your PSP device to your PC. Then press the PSP "home" button, which is at the bottomleft of the screen PSP. Look at the "settings" selection by using the left-right directional buttons to navigate and then from there, search for "USB Connection" on the PSP device with a top-down button and press the X button (round bottom marked X) to confirm your selection. Now you should be able to see the USB port on your PSP device.

B. Create a download folder

Until now, your computer has detected a new USB device on the hard disk. Click the driveUsually be your last alphabetical disk that corresponds to your PSP memory card. Create a new folder inside that drive and you can name a folder as "downloading music" or any name you want to use.

Now you can copy your favorite music files from your PC to the new folder you created on your PSP device.

NOTE: Please note that the PSP using the older software runs only on mp3format. And the older software runs inside the psp device does not support WMA & WMV music formats. We will discuss more later.

Then on the PSP device, see the "Memory Stick" on a music section with up-down arrows for navigation. Then press the X button again to enter your selection. Note that there is need to upgrade your PSP firmware, if it really needs or wants to play WMA and WMV audio files. Newer firmware versions such as Sony can play WMA & WMV files directly on your PSP. Otherwise, you can also convert files into MP3 format. There are many ways to do this. A simpler way is to use the free Windows Application Switch. It is readily available on the Internet. First, in Windows Media Player, rip the music file you want to convert.Then you need to run the software switch, create a new folder or output folder and select the output format. The output format, you will have the choice to select mp3. When you're done, you now have converted your WMA audio files to MP3 file.

Now you can enjoy listening to music that you downloaded to your PSP. Just repeat the easy steps above whenever you have more music to download to your PSP device.
